Pocket Life Kits with Adele and Jennie!

Hi there scrappy peeps!

Today I have a sweet little spread in my Traveler's Notebook using the November Pocket Life Kit - which is bursting with gorgeous little embellies and oh so many puffy stickers!

I love using the Pocket Life Kits in my TN because of the variety of embellies included each month. The added paper and PL cards are also a great way to add tip ins and extra fun features to your pages.

Even though we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in Aus, I was able to use a lot of the "grateful" elements to document my feelings towards our new little family addition.

I have filmed a full process video creating this page, I hope you enjoy it!

Hey Everyone! This is Jennie and I'm joining Adele to show you how we use the November Pocket Life Kit in a very different way! She made a Traveler's Notebook Spread and I made Pocket Pages!

This is my third double spread and I used up all my 3x4 journaling cards which was one of my goals!

This was a super busy week with lots of photos! But that doesn't stop me from over embellishing this whole thing!

I used the alpha stickers from the kit for the title card and the label is from the cut aparts. To make the filler cards with banners I used the Maggie Holmes sticky flags from the Embellishments Kit. I love when journaling cards have a grid pattern because my handwriting looks a lot better in that small space.

I love these puffy stickers from the Pocket Life Kit they are the perfect amount of puffy for PL pages. I used a bunch elements in this card: pattern paper, die cuts, cut aparts, puffy stickers and stamp. This is my favorite card in the spread.

I love how bendy are the phrases on the the stamps! In here you can barely see where the stamps are because they contour the things next to the stamps so well.

In this card I used my typewriter. All the little hearts on the layout where made with the 6x8 Exclusive Citrus Twist Pattern Papers and a metal die.
Make sure you watch my process video! Watch it until the end to see the kit leftovers!

I hope you enjoyed these projects! Isn't it awesome how one kit could produce many projects?!

Tutorial Tuesday | Kristel Arends

Hi all, today I have a fun and quick tutorial for you to create your own matching Pocket Page cards with the This is life "Gathering" stamp set.

All you need are:
* This is Life "Gathering" stamp set
* Basic white cardstock (preferably smooth)
* A few colors of ink
* Ink blenders
* Masking paper/tape
* Additional embellishments, such as labels for example
I started by cutting down my cardstock to cards of 4"x6" and 3"x4".
I then created a couple of different masks for areas I wanted to keep white.
I did this by cutting down some strips of masking paper and using a 2" circle punch.
Of course, you can use all kinds of shapes and you can completely alter it to your own likings :-)

After I had masked my cards it was time to give a few cards some color.
I used an ink blender (by Ranger) combined with dye inks and all you have to do is go around in small circles to cover your area(s) with color.
It takes a bit of work to get a nice, saturated, color, but the results are lovely :-)

Before removing the masking paper, I wanted to add some extra interest to a couple of cards, by adding a few lovely stamps from this month's This is Life "Gathering" stamp set.
I love the effect of repeated stamping, but of course you can also mix and match with different stamps and colors to create a different look :-)

After you're done with your ink blending and stamping it's time for the final reveal!
I always love this moment, because during blending and stamping, your cards will look messy and you might even think it will look like nothing, but you will definitely be surprised :-)
I then added a few little embellishments, such as labels and a few cork pieces from this month's kit, and my cards were done!

I hope you liked this little tutorial and that you are inspired to create your own Pocket Page cards :-)

Have a lovely week and until next time!

Love, Kristel

Documenting Made Easy

If you're someone like me, who loves to buy aka "hoard" scrapbook supplies because they are so pretty to look at or you saw something in Youtube someone is using that you must have. Yup, that is basically me! Most of my income goes to scrapbooking which is bad, I know I am trying to cut it down believe me. Memory keeping is no fun when I am overwhelmed with supplies and I am hungry! Lol! I am very thankful with Trina and her team to be part of Citrus Twist DT. This month's kit is called Stories and all about family, being thankful and grateful basically fall colours. Sadly where I am from, we don't have fall. We only have two kinds of weather, its hot or wet season. Worry not that didn't stop me from using the this month's kit.

That's one of the things I like about Citrus Twist kit is that, it comes in this new handy little pouch that I can basically bring anywhere! Those puffy alphas are just so cute! I need 20 more of those! I'm a sucker for puffy stickers but I like these specially because they are not too puffy! Ok, that sounded totally contradictory but believe me it has a nice depth to it that it wouldn't make your project life pages even traveler's notebook pages too bulky which is a plus in my book. For this spread, I only used it in the title to say "weekend" cause I am trying to save them for other projects!

The 6x8 exclusive pattern papers are another fave of mine, I can use them in my traveler's notebook as well as a backer/frame for my photos to add another pop of colour. That card with cups goes very well with my time at Starbucks and that cork embellishments fit just right in. The cute stamp phrases is another fave. Its so versatile and non intrusive that you can stamp them on anywhere!!

My spread wouldn't be complete without any pictures of my dog, Mylo. When I saw the preview of the ephemera pack and it has that cute doggie die cut, I was jumping with joy! Ok I'm a bit weird like that. It's just that I often see cute stamps, embellishments, stickers of cats but the dogs are often, ho hum. However, this one I find so adorable, so I really had to use it!
In just a couple of hours I am done with my spread, cause all I needed was in that pouch. I just needed some adhesive and I am good to go. I do that from time to time, just work on a kit. Force myself not to look for that specific stamp or embellishment that it takes hours to finish a spread. Let's admit it in this day and age, we don't have hours to do crafting. We're very fortunate if we get that splurge once a month. Working on just one kit, you don't need to worry about things not looking good together cause that's where Citrus Twist team comes in. They make sure that everything fits beautifully together. My finish spread might not be a work of art, its simple and clean just how I like it. Moreover, it makes me jot down the memories and tell the stories and that is more important.

Sunday Sketch | Gina + Anna

Hi everyone, Gina and Anna here today, sharing our projects with you, based on this fun sketch!

We hope you can play along as well and we would love to see your take on this sketch. To enter the challenge, post your project in the CTK gallery and/or Facebook group with today's date (November 26) in the title

Here is my take, I've created an 8.5 x 11 inch page, while sticking to the sketch quite closely. I love how the design allows for plenty of white space. I've used just the Stories main kit here

The die-cut pack in this kit goes such a long way

How beautiful are the gold and glitter elements included?

Thanks for stopping by, now it's Anna's turn
Gina x

Hi lovelies! I'm so happy to be teaming up with Gina to create two different interprets of the same sketch. It's a dream come true for me :), thank you lovely Gina!

Here's my take on the gorgeous sketch.
I 've created a Traveler's Notebook spread and I sticked pretty close to the sketch as well, just flipped it a bit. I've used just CTK November Stories Main Kit here.

I love those CTK exclusive chipboard stickers and the glittery words and stars.

The black strip with white text are the strip from the Elle's Studio paper, works perfect here.

Yup, told you I'm totally in love with those glittery words!

Also I'm totally crushing on these lovely clear stamps, they are so versatile, works perfectly well for layouts, PL and TN's as well.

Well, thats all for now! Can't wait to see your interprets!

Thanks for stopping by! Anna xo

3 to inspire with Mira

Hello Citrus Twist Kits fans!

Today I have a 3-to-Inspire Challenge for You with a few fun ideas on how to use the products in a creative way, and how to make use of Your kits to the very last bit! Are You ready for some inspiration?

This is a challenge for those of You, who need a little extra creative push to get scrapbooking, to keep scrapbooking or for those who just like a challenge! Your take on this challenge can be a layout or a PL spread and remember that you'll want to include all 3 prompts on your project.

This month I prepared two pocket pages using absolutely wonderful fall designs from PL Kit, to document single walk in the park, which turn out to be a really huge adventure for us!

We didn't expect to find squirrels in this park, and meeting with friends was also a huge surprise for us.

So what I did in this spread slightly different than I usually do:

1. I used a product packaging as a PL card. You can see it in the second page - the one with single picture and trees. Have You seen these new cardboards from exclusive Citrus Twist Kits die-cut packs, puffy stickers and alpha stickers packagings? I love their design - delicate grey stripes work really well on my pages! So this is absolutely NOT the last time when I include packaging in my projects!

2. On the exact same page (bottom left picture) I used a stamp "wild + free", but as You can see, I bent the stamp a bit and stamped these words as if they were a part of a circle. I was amazed how fun it turned out! Don't You think this is cool? The idea is easy but the effects are really different from usual! I am going to do it more often!

3. I created a title of my page using my own handwriting. This is not a common thing for me, as I usually don't like my handwriting. Especially in a big format. But I thought it might be something new, so I gave up the negative feeling and just did it! And I like it! The words I used are in polish and the title says: Autumn - the season of miracles.

And here are more details of my spread:

I hope You like the ideas that I proposed, and that You feel inspired! Feel free to join the challenge!

The prompts for this week are:

1. Use a product package in Your project
2. Bend the stamp while stamping the words
3. Use Your handwriting for a page title

Use the three prompts to create your own projects and share them with us in the CTK Gallery and/or on our Facebook Fan Page by Saturday, December 2nd, for a chance to win. You can also upload to Instagram and tag us @citrustwistkits. Have fun!

Layout with Citrus Twist Kits exclusive die-cuts

Hi, it's Veera here today to share a layout that features a lot of those beautiful Citrus Twist Kits exclusive die-cuts from November main scrapbook kit! I love die-cuts and ephemera, those are my go-to embellishments for any project that I make!

Majority of the embellishments on this layout are from the exclusive die-cut pack. I added all the embellishments vertically on the edge of the pattern paper. In addition to the die-cuts I user the ribbon bow and heart stickers.

With die-cuts I was easily able to add a variety of shapes and colors. As the die-cuts were on the smaller size I wanted to use a bigger picture (instead of my normal 3x3 inches square photo) to balance all those small elements.

What is your go-to embellishment? I hope you are enjoying your November Citrus Twist Kits!

Tell me astory with flowers with Laetitia

Hi everyone, it's Laetitia. I'm so happy to meet you today on the Citrus Twist Kit blog. I propose a 12x12 layout with the kit scrapbooking of November. A kit with a lovely combo of colors and a wide choice of embellishments. I really like the diversity and the number of die-cut that includes this kit. These are my favorite embellishments! With chipboards and cork pieces :)

Here is a little zoom on the wonderful die-cut. What I also like is that they are Citrus Twist products, exclusive.

For this layout, I used a white cardstock included in the kit and I pasted the pink and yellow striped paper on the top and I made a reminder with a band on the bottom. Then I chose to put my photos in the center by sliding below the pretty Citrus Twist tags.

To decorate, I added chipboards, die cut and pretty cork leaves.

I really like little golden pieces, like this branch found in the kit.

On the bottom of the page I added several labels and some stitches and I stamped in black "beautiful. crushingly so." And I added a floral paper in the corner, at the top left of my layout.

I hope you like this layout and that it gives you ideas ^^

Have a lovely day.

Laetitia
